BTN Syariah Explores Opportunities For Cooperation With PP Muhammadiyah
JAKARTA - PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk or BTN through its Sharia Business Unis (UUS) is exploring opportunities for cooperation with the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership (PP) to support the vision and mission of the Islamic organization.
On Friday, August 2, BTN Syariah officials visited the Muhammadiyah PP Office in Yogyakarta. President Director of BTN Nixon LP Napitupulu said this visit was aimed at strengthening the synergy between BTN Syariah and PP Muhammadiyah.
"Strengthening the synergy between BTN Syariah and PP Muhammadiyah covers several areas of cooperation that we are currently exploring together, not only in the housing financing sector but in the business and economic sectors, especially those that support and support the vision and mission of PP Muhammadiyah in the future," Nixon said in his statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Monday, August 5.
In his meeting with PP Muhammadiyah, BTN Syariah conveyed a number of its newest service programs such as savings and financing products and various plans that the UUS will carry out in the future.
Nixon said Muhammadiyah's (AUM) Amal Businesses were very large and varied from the health sector to education. This, he said, was a potential for BTN Syariah to be able to provide solutions so that AUM would continue to grow and progress so that it could prosper PP Muhammadiyah.
In the near future, added Nixon, his party will finalize cooperation with PP Muhammadiyah as a follow-up to the joint discussion.
"We thank PP Muhammadiyah for its trust in BTN Syariah and we are open and hope for wider cooperation because we support PP Muhammadiyah's work program in the future," said Nixon.
Meanwhile, General Chairperson of PP Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir said that efforts to revive the Islamic economy and finance were a noble endeavor.
This, said Haedar, must be based on strategic and practical steps to ground the Islamic economy and finance in order to be able to be present as an alternative to economic and financial activities in Indonesia.
Haedar also said that Islamic economics and finance in the theology of al-Maun must be able to be present in a real and better way to raise the dignity and progress of MSMEs and solve the problem of poverty, social inequality and economic problems faced by the people and the wider community.
