Robber Driver Is Asleep At Slipi Gas Station Arrested
JAKARTA - Members of the West Jakarta Metro Police arrested two people with the initials US and AY. They are suspected of being involved in the robbery of the driver who was resting at the Palmerah Public Refueling Station (SPBU), Slipi.
"The two perpetrators with the initials AS and AY were arrested at a gas station in the South Jakarta area", said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Teuku Arsya Khadafi in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, March 23.
Arsya said the two perpetrators often targeted drivers who were fast asleep in the car and parked at gas stations.
When arrested, Arsya stated that the two perpetrators planned to carry out a similar action at a gas station in the South Jakarta area.
Meanwhile, West Jakarta Metro Police of General Criminal Investigation, AKP Dimitri Mahendra added that this arrest was carried out by the Crime and Violence Unit under the leadership of the Head of Sub-Head of Ipda Rizki Ali.
The arrest is based on processing the crime scene (TKP) and analyzes the hidden camera recordings around the scene.
West Jakarta Metro Police investigators are still intensively examining the two perpetrators to develop investigations and explore the actions that the conspiracy has carried out.
This theft case went viral through social media, one of which was the Instagram account "@westjurnalpalma" which allegedly occurred on Sunday, March 21 in the morning.
The perpetrator was seen driving in a white car and one of the perpetrators was seen getting off and taking the victim's valuables in the car.
The suspect knocked and peeked at the windshield, then stabbed valuables such as cell phones and money, after confirming that the victim was asleep in the car.
