The tactical vehicles include water cannon and water gene, barracuda, armoured personnel carrier (APC), ICT or radio trucks, as well as ambulances, and others.
Andy Rifai further said that a number of vehicles were equipped with a steel coating and bullet shielding. All units have been prepared in the courtyard of the Brimob Brimob Battalion A Building of the East Kalimantan Police.
"The vehicle will be sent to IKN to support security during the celebration of Indonesia's anniversary," he said.
The security carried out is not only on land, but also at sea. The Brimob Unit of the East Kalimantan Police will deploy sea riders.
The sea rider vehicles carry out security at sea with the water vehicles of the Water and Air Police Directorate (Ditpolairud) of the East Kalimantan Police and the Indonesian Navy National Army (TNI AL).
"The tactical vehicles prepared are sufficient to support the security of VVIP IKN," he said.
"We have also prepared a number of additional equipment stationed in Samarinda City," said Andy Rifai again.
The additional equipment includes field kitchens and a number of operational vehicles.
