Students In Sukabumi Arrested In Drug Circulation, Police: They Give Reasons For Lecture Fees
The Narcotics Unit (Satnarkoba) of the Sukabumi City Police arrested 10 suspected drug dealers and illegal limited hard drugs in seven different locations in the City and District of Sukabumi, West Java in the last two weeks.
"Of the 10 suspected drug dealers, three of them are unscrupulous students. They are desperate to distribute these illicit goods on the grounds of tuition fees and daily needs," said Sukabumi City Police Chief AKBP Rita Suwandi in Sukabumi, quoted from Antara, Saturday, August 3.
The initials are the perpetrators of illegal drug and drug dealers UN (36), LA (32), AR (24), AF (20), MR (36), RG (27), HS (35), AS (46), AV (22) and MD (26). For the location of their arrests in the sub-districts of Sukaraja, Cisaat, Gunungguruh and Cireunghas, Sukabumi Regency, then in Warudoyong, Cikole and Gunungpuyuh sub-districts, Sukabumi City.
Meanwhile, for the evidence confiscated as much as 261.75 grams of crystal methamphetamine, limited hard drugs were illegal 6,080 pills. In addition, other evidence in the form of a shabu or bong suction device, seven digital scales, 10 mobile phones and Rp60 thousand in cash.
According to Rita, the limited evidence of methamphetamine and hard drugs, if spent more than Rp. 500 million. The disclosure of this case has saved about 7,500 people from the misuse of this illegal item.
He added that the modus operandi of suspected drug dealers in distributing illicit goods was to attach, where they transact only through short message application relationships such as Whatsapp and several others met in person.

"We are still developing this case, because usually they have a network of drug perpetrators. They admit that methamphetamine and limited hard drugs are obtained from someone who is still on the wanted list (DPO) outside Sukabumi and even Java Island," he added.
Rita mengatakan untuk pengeluar sabu-sabu dijerat dengan pasal 112 ayat 1, 112 ayat 2, 114 ayat 1, 114 ayat 2 Undang-Undang RI Nomor 35 tahun 2009 tentang Narkotika dan Pasal 435, 436 UURI Nomor 17 tahun 2023 tentang Kesehatan dengan ancaman kurungan penjara di atas lima tahun.
