Indofood CBP, Indomie Producer Owned By Anthony Salim Conglomerate Successfully Print Sales Of IDR 46.64 Trillion

JAKARTA - PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (ICBP) achieved good performance in the 2020 financial year. This popular processed food producer, Indomie, managed to score double-digit sales and net profits in the year of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Quoting the ICBP financial report published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) website, Tuesday, March 23, the consolidated net sales printed by ICBP reached IDR 46.64 trillion in 2020. This achievement grew 10 percent compared to net sales in 2019 which amounted to IDR 42.30 trillion.

In terms of cost of goods sold, this post rose 5.5 percent to Rp29.42 trillion. ICBP's operating profit also increased by 24 percent to Rp9.20 trillion from Rp.7.40 trillion, and the operating profit margin increased to 19.7 percent from 17.5 percent.

As a result, ICBP recorded a 31 percent increase in profit for the year attributable to owners of the parent entity to IDR 6.59 trillion from IDR 5.04 trillion in the previous year. The net profit margin also increased to 14.1 percent from 11.9 percent.

President Director and Chief Executive Officer of ICBP, Anthony Salim, said that the positive performance printed by the company was supported by the strength of product brands, a strong integrated business model and an extensive distribution network. This is also a milestone that ICBP is able to adapt dynamically to changing trends and consumer behavior that occur rapidly.
