Receives PSSI And PT LIB Approval, Persija Jakarta Candang In JIS For Liga 1 2024/2025

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta has determined the stadium that will be used to convene in Liga 1 2024/2025. The Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) was appointed after obtaining approval from PSSI and PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) as competition operators.

Good news for the Kemayoran Tigers to navigate this new season was conveyed by the Director of the Club, Mohamad Prapanca. He said, his blessing to be at JIS was obtained after going through several checking processes.

Previously, PT LIB as the operator of Liga 1 was still in an effort to verify JIS before being used by Persija as a cage. Although the stadium has previously been used for the 2023 U-17 World Cup, the re-verification process must still be carried out.

As a result, JIS passed the verification and was declared to be used by the Kemayoran Tigers as homebase in Liga 1 2024/2025.

"It (JIS status as a home) has been approved. We have also received recommendations from the police and I think it is enough for us to use JIS," said Mohamad Prapanca in his statement quoted Friday, August 2, 2024.

After the certainty of banning is obtained, Prapanca hopes that throughout the 2024/2025 season it can run smoothly. Nearby, the Kemayoran Tigers will host Barito Putera in the inaugural match of Liga 1 2024/2025 which will take place on Saturday, August 10, 2024.

"Yes, hopefully, God willing, we will continue to play at JIS in the opening match later."

"For this season, we will use JIS. However, we don't know for next season," said Prapanca.

Prapanca also asked The Jakmania to jointly maintain JIS well. This cannot be separated from the great hope that later the status of this cage will become permanent for the Kemayoran Tigers.

"We are very confident in having a permanent cage. Hopefully in the future we can maintain our achievements," said Prapanca.
