BMW Books 1,166 SPK At GIIAS 2024, Local Assembled Model Selled

JAKARTA - BMW Group Indonesia was successful in the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) with a book of 1,166 Vehicle Ordering Letters (SPK) during 11 exhibition days or an increase of 9 percent compared to previous edition exhibitions.

BMW Group Indonesia President Director Ramesh Divyanathan, said that this achievement was the highest record ever achieved by the company during his years with GIIAS.

"Thank you to all BMW customers and fans who have visited the BMW Pavilion at GIIAS 2024," Ramesh said in his statement, Friday, August 2.

In the event, the German manufacturer noted that the best-selling model is 520i M Sport which is one of the local assembled vehicles, a total of 147 SPK or a 12 percent contribution. These results were followed by X5, Series-3, and X1.

Meanwhile, the latest models such as the latest Series-4 book order up to 45 SPK and Series-2 as a BMW at affordable prices in Indonesia contributed 43 SPK during today's 11th event.

The Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) in total accounts for 11.5 percent or collects 125 SPKs led by iX1, followed by a number of i5 variants, and i7 luxury electric sedans.

The luxury vehicle segment also recorded a positive trend. The BMW 735i M Sport has sold 42 units, then the Sport Activity Vehicle (SAV) for the X7 model is 33 units, and the XM model contributes 7 units to GIIAS 2024.

The high-performance model from the BMW M division also received a good welcome during the event with a book 91 SPK and the M3 Competition model being the best-selling of this lineup.

In GIIAS 2024, BMW launched a number of the latest models consisting of 520i M Sport, i5 M60, 430i Convertible, 430i Coupe, and XM 50e. Thus, this brand provides the complete variety of vehicle engine variants according to customer needs.
