Indonesia U-19 Gets IDR 1 Billion Development Fund After Winning The 2024 AFF U-19 Cup
JAKARTA - The U-19 Indonesian national team received an appreciation in the form of a coaching fund of IDR 1 billion after winning the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup.
The handover of the coaching funds was symbolically given by the President Director of Bank Mandiri, Darmawan Junaidi, to the captain of Indonesia U-19, Dony Tri Pamungkas, and coach Indra Sjafri at Plaza Mandiri, Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
"This is an extraordinary achievement that is the result of the sacrifices and consistency of the coaching team as well as the players in training hard."
"We are very grateful to the whole team and grateful for this historic achievement," said Darmawan.
Darmawan further said that this achievement was a momentum for Indonesia U-19 to achieve higher achievements in the future.

At the event, PSSI Deputy General Chair Zainuddin Amali was also present. The former Minister of Youth and Sports appreciated Garuda Muda's struggle.
"We are very proud of the achievements achieved by Indonesia U-19. This achievement is clear evidence that hard work and discipline can produce extraordinary things."

Indonesia U-19 won the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup after beating Thailand U-19 with a score of 1-0 in the final match at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya, Monday, July 29, 2024.
Now, Indonesia has collected a total of two AFF U-19 Cup trophies. Previously, Garuda Muda had won it in the 2013 edition.
After winning the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup, Indonesia U-19 will face the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup Qualification.
Young Garuda are in Group F with Yemen, Timor Leste, and the Maldives. They are targeted to qualify for the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup final which will be held in February 2025 in China.
Before playing in the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup Qualifiers, Indra Sjafi's troops will prepare by holding a training camp (TC) and participating in the Seoul Earth On Us Cup 2024 tournament in South Korea.
The plan is that Indonesia U-19 will start TC in South Korea in mid-August and start appearing in the mini tournament on 28 August-1 September 2024.
