Hoax Triggered British Right Winged Mass Collapsed In Front Of Southport Mosque Injures 22 Police
JAKARTA - Police revealed that misinformation or hoaxes are the strongest indications that the cause of the riots involved a mass of supporters of the right wing in front of the Southport mosque, England.
The mob rioted after the stabbing by a 17-year-old teenager killed 3 children in Taylor Swift's dance class in the area.
"There is a lot of speculation and hypotheses surrounding the status of a 17-year-old man who is currently in police custody. Some people are using this to cause violence and chaos," Merseyside Assistant Chief of Police Alex Goss told The Sun, Wednesday, July 31.
The police added that the misinformation on the internet was in the form of false accusations from the identity of the stabbing perpetrator.
"We have said that the arrested person was born in England and speculation is not helping anyone at this time," Gross continued.
The riots came after hundreds of people gathered together in solidarity outside the Actinson Art Gallery in Merseyside to pay their last respects to Southport's stabbing victims.
Some people lit candles while others laid flowers and reflect on the tragedy.
