Turning To Streaming Service, NASA Television On Cable Television Channel Will Close

JAKARTA NASA wants to show quality space shows to more users. In order for this desire to be achieved, NASA will focus on streaming services and stop broadcasting on television channels. Starting late August, NASA Television, which is available on various cable television channels, will be discontinued. The US space agency will switch all innovative shows to NASA Plus, a free streaming service that can be accessed through NASA applications. In addition, NASA Plus can be accessed through streaming media players such as Roku, Apple TV, and Fire TV. Unlike NASA applications that don't require any subscriptions, the three streaming services can only be accessed if users subscribe. Marc Etkind, Administrator of NASA's Communication Office Association, said that NASA Plus was created to deliver a variety of information quickly. So far, the number of shows on NASA Plus has quadrupled compared to the number of viewers on television channels.

"Through NASA Plus, we are improving the user experience for our audience in a way that reflects our commitment to achieving new levels, both in space exploration and in the media," said Etkind. NASA Plus not only features events that contain space and aeronautical knowledge. The company also shows various science experiments and astronaut activities while in space. The space agency also screened documentary films about asteroids, NASA's efforts to search for signs of alien life, NASA's activities in countering poor sea water quality on the Florida coast, and much more.
