Indonesia Shopping Festival Will Be Held At 400 Malls, Transaction Value Targeted To Reach IDR 25 Trillion
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Shopping Center Management Association (APPBI) will hold the Indonesia Shopping Festival 2024 at 400 malls. The transaction value targeted during the event reached IDR 25 trillion.
The Indonesia Shopping Festival or ISF itself will be held from August 8 to 19, 2024, simultaneously in all participating malls.
Chairman of the APPBI DPP Alphonzus Widjaja said that currently shopping centers are entering a low season period after the Eid al-Fitr and Chinese New Year celebrations.
Therefore, the ISF is expected to encourage sales and the number of visits to the customer center.
Furthermore, Alphonzus said that his party set a target for visiting 100 million visitors during the 12 days of organizing the 2024 ISF.
"We are targeting that for 12 days from the 8th to the 19th, traffic or visit rates can reach 100 million in all shopping centers in Indonesia. There are approximately 400 APPBI members," he said at a conference per at the Ministry of Trade, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 30.
Alphonzus also said that the transaction value target during the 2024 ISF event was a minimum of IDR 25 trillion. He said, if these two targets were achieved, it would boost sales in retail.
"The purchasing power of the lower middle class has decreased. Then there was also the issue of illegal imports and so on. But it is hoped that this ISF will help overcome it in the times we face," he explained.
He said the ISF this year carried the theme of the people's party welcoming the 79th Independence Day.
He said, many attractive promos were offered. Like, special discounts of up to 79 percent.
In addition to various promos, Alphonzus said that the 2024 ISF will also present domestic product exhibitions and MSMEs in all shopping centers, culinary festivals typical of the archipelago, and even regional arts performances that are always awaited by the public.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shinta Kamdani said that this festival would encourage people to shop at local shopping centers.
