Not Only T, Head Of BP2MI Benny Rhamdani Disbursed 5 Other Initials In Front Of Jokowi

JAKARTA - Head of the Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Agency (BP2MI) Benny Rhamdani said that not only the figure with the initials T was conveyed to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in a limited meeting.

There are five other names referred to as masterminds of the criminal case of trafficking in persons (TPPO).

He made this statement after undergoing examination as a witness at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police for five and a half hours.

"Because the theme is about TIP, it's not just the initials T that I conveyed. But there are other initials, for example illegal placements in Singapore. There is the initials S/J, the status is DPO to this day. Then the initials are ARO/AIM. The initials are DPO status, then the initials S and MN," said Benny to reporters, Monday, July 29.

Benny conveyed five other initials in front of Jokowi because during the limited meeting BP2MI revealed various things related to TIP, ranging from the modus operandi to the number of Indonesian citizens (WNI) who were employed illegally abroad.

"Some are dispatched to Singapore, their work is household workers. But those employed in Cambodia are online gambling and online scamming. Well, for Singapore we mentioned the initials. Then, for online scamming online gambling we call the initials T," he said.

However, regarding the figure of T and others, Benny was reluctant to open it. It is said that all information has been submitted to investigators from the Directorate of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri.

"Anyway, who is T, whether he is the correct controller or not, I have put it in the minutes that I signed earlier in giving clarification to fellow investigators," said Benny.

Benny Rhamdani has completed an examination for five and a half hours related to the figure T who is said to be controlling online gambling practices in Indonesia. Investigators are said to have asked 22 questions about the problem and are now in the spotlight.

However, Benny explained that T was not the controller of online gambling. T is now called the mastermind behind the criminal case of trafficking in persons or TIP.

"My speech and what was conveyed in an internal meeting or limited meeting at the palace was about preventing criminal acts of trafficking in persons," said Benny.

"So when it comes to the Cambodian issue, it has something to do with where our illegally dispatched workers are employed in the online gambling business and online scamming," he continued.
