Visitors Are Interested In GIIAS 2024, Take A Peek At The Complete Specification Of PHEV Prius

JAKARTA - In order to expand its electrification vehicles in Indonesia, PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) officially launched two versions of the Prius, namely the Hybrid Electric Vehicle and Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) at the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).

However, the manufacturer only sells the HEV version at a price of Rp. 698 million On The Road DKI Jakarta. Meanwhile, the PHEV variant will not be sold in the near future.

"I really hope the PHEV variant can be launched because so far what we have received from dealers, many customers are waiting for this type because the market is also quite interesting," said Marketing Director of PT TAM Anton Jimmi Suwandi some time ago in Tangerang.

Seeing the large interest of visitors during the exhibition of this model, here are the specifications of the PHEV Prius which will soon be sold in Indonesia according to VOI's monitoring, at GIIAS 2024.

Moderner Design

Sharing the same platform as the HEV type, the car features a modern design with a unique headlights design as well as a shark-like muzzle, resembling a bZ4X model.

Meanwhile, the back features progressive elements with three-dimensional linear lighting that emphasizes a futuristic urban-style design.

Interior Ciamik

This car has a spacious interior with a cockpit that emphasizes the feel of pleasure in driving. The cabin itself consists of three zones, namely surrounding, module drivers, and floating instrument panels that resemble Toyota bZ4X.

From the driver's side, there is a 7-inch LED TFT screen that does not interfere with the visibility of the driver, so it can maintain the view when the car is running. Then, the new instrument panel prioritizes cabin comfort, neat layout, and functionality.

The car is also equipped with a panoramic moonroof that can be fully opened, creating a spacious and luxurious space.

Erite Hybrid Performance

Built on top of the TNGA-C architecture, the PHEV Prius has the latest Series Parallel Hybrid System system which is claimed to have optimal fuel efficiency capabilities, but without eliminating pleasure in driving.

The system is combined with a M20A-FXS 2,000 cc 4-cylinder engine, the PHEV Prius is capable of blowing the overall power up to 223 ps and 190 Nm torque and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in 6.7 seconds.

The performance is also supported by lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 50 percent, but with 30 percent fewer cells than before, it makes it a more compact size installed under the back seat.

According to Toyota's claim, the car can record a distance between 70-80 km in one charge.

To increase the element of fun to drive, this fifth-generation Prius is equipped with driving modes such as Normal, Eco, and Sport with the Drive Mode Select feature located on the center console.

Having more modern features and designs, of course, the PHEV Prius should be eagerly awaited and sold en masse in Indonesia. What's more, Toyota claims that the current generation has an element of driving pleasure so that many parties can't wait to drive it.
