ACEH - The West Aceh District Government declared a Muslim-Friendly District for Children (KMLA) as an effort to realize the fulfillment of children's rights.

The declaration was made by the Regent of West Aceh Ramli M.S. in Meulaboh, Monday, March 22. "This declaration is to realize children's rights in order to realize West Aceh towards a Child-Friendly Muslim District," said the Regent at the location of the Declaration Hall of the Office for Women's Empowerment, Child Protection and Family Planning (DP3AKB) West Aceh, as reported by Antara.

According to him, children are the nation's successor and it is a shared responsibility to provide children's comfort, in every activity and to open space for children to get their rights.

In addition, Ramli asked children to be saved from the negative influence of information technology (IT), online games, and social media that can be accessed by all groups.

Through this declaration, he invited all parties to carefully protect children from accessing the sophistication of information technology that is currently developing, so that the younger generation can be saved from bad influences for their future growth.

He also hopes that the Muslim-Friendly District for Children (KMLA) program can involve educators from Islamic institutions and the Islamic Boarding House because these religious teachers understand and have a lot of space to socialize with the community, especially the media of preaching.
