Jaz Performs Fly Me To The Moon Song For Film Theme Song, Admits He Was Afraid

JAKARTA - An interesting presentation was presented by Jaz to fans. In the context of the release as well as part of Sony Pictures' latest film promo, Fly Me to the Moon which will air on August 2, the singer who was born in Brunei Darussalam will fill the popular song by Bart Howard, Fly Me to the Moon as the soundtrack.

Out of his comfort zone, which usually sings pop songs or RnB, Jaz sees this as a great opportunity throughout his musical career.

"I feel honored because I had the opportunity to sing again one of the classic songs that has been sung by various singers many times. Thank you to Sony Pictures for choosing me directly to sing this song," said Jaz in a written broadcast received by VOI.

Judging by the history of the song, Bart Howard wrote this work in 1954 with the initial title "In Other Words". Then the most famous version of this song was sung by Frank totaling in 1964, published on the album It Might as Well Be Swing.

Howard revealed an interesting fact that if a version of death appears, maybe this song already has more than 100 versions with different singers. The explosion of the legendary singer's version seems to have become fate.

In 2024, Jaz performed this song with several adjustments. Despite carrying the jazz genre, for this latest version, the arrangement Fly Me to the Moon (From Fly Me to the Moon Movie) will be adjusted to the characteristics of the singer.

"I've never sung a pure jazz genre song and the arrangement of this song was made according to the characteristics and touch that a Jaz has. So, for Jaz fans who have been used to hearing Jaz sing pop genres, they won't be surprised when they hear Fly Me to the Moon (From Fly Me to the Moon Movie) which tends towards jazz, "he explained.

The production of this song took two weeks, from recording to making video clips. Jaz is grateful that many parties helped work on this single so that he did not encounter significant obstacles even though there was a little fear.

"Honestly, there is a fear when you have to sing 'Fly Me to the Moon' (From Fly Me to the Moon Movie) because giving life to this song is quite difficult considering there are so many versions out there by different singers. But, because it has been trusted by Sony Pictures, I will sing my version as well as possible. Hopefully the results won't disappoint," he explained.

Ready to be enjoyed by music listeners widely on July 29, Jaz hopes that this version will be accepted by the whole community.

"Hopefully music lovers can enjoy the remake version of Jaz, be it jazz genre fans who know the classic version of this song or music fans in general who have never heard of it. This is a song that is very popular with many people and also legendary, I hope this latest 'Fly Me to the Moon' (From Fly Me to the Moon Movie) can be accepted and enjoyed by everyone too," concluded Jaz Hayat.
