Gaikindo Make Sure GIIAS Next Year Will Still Be Held At ICE BSD

JAKARTA - The 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) was successfully held for 11 days which took place at ICE BSD, Tangerang. This year's edition is the largest because it involves 11 hall because many new manufacturers enter the country's market.

However, rumors circulated that this event would move locations to Pantai Indah Kapuk, Jakarta to accommodate the number of manufacturers participating in this event.

Gaikindo also opened his voice about this matter through the General Chairperson of Gaikindo Yohannes Nangoi, who ensured that next year's GIIAS event would still take place at ICE BSD, Tangerang.

"Next year it's still in BSD, we haven't learned more for sure and we haven't decided yet," said Nangoi during an interview with the media, towards the end of the exhibition.

Nangoi believes that this decision must be taken into account carefully because the number of visitors at ICE BSD is stable and the location is known to visitors and Indonesian automotive lovers as the location of GIIAS.

"This year, the number of visitors is still large and always positive," added Nangoi.

This annual exhibition has been enlivened by a number of participants who will meet a total of 11 ICE BSD hall areas, Tangerang. It was stated that there was an addition of a new hall with an area of 12,000 square meters.

Carrying the theme 'Innovation Meets Inspiration', it is hoped that the event can be used by various brands to introduce its newest product and to advance the larger automotive industry in Indonesia.

This year's edition presents a total of 55 motorized vehicle brands from various countries such as Japan, Korea, China and European countries, including 31 passenger vehicle brands, namely; Audi, Baic, BMW, BYD, Chery, Citroen, Daihatsu, GAC Aion, GWM, Honda, Hyundai, Jaecool, Jetour, KIA, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MG, MINI, Mitsubishi Motors, Neta, Nissan, Porsche, Seres, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, VinFast, Volkswagen, Volvo, Wuling. 4 brands from commercial vehicles attended Hino, Isuzu, Mitsubishi Fuso, UD Trucks.

In addition, there are 20 brands of two-wheeled vehicles; Alva, Aprilia, Astra Honda Motor, Exotic, Gelis, Harley-Davidson, Ion Mobility, Italjet, Kupprum, Motoguzzi, Pacific, Piaggio, Polytron, Royal Alloy, Royal Enfield, Scomadi, Vespa, Vmove, Volta and ZPT.

In addition to passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and two-wheeled vehicles, 3 Karoseri brands also enlivened the GIIAS 2024 performance, namely Adiputro, Laksana, and Tentrem. More than 120 participating brands from the supporting industry also do not want to lose to show off their latest innovations and technology in the implementation of GIIAS 2024.
