Instead Of Rebuting PKB, PBNU Is Recommended To Initiate The Establishment Of New Political Parties

JAKARTA Executive Director of the Indonesia Political Opinion (IPO), Dedi Kurnia Syah, suggested that PBNU initiate the formation of a new political party (parpol) rather than trying to reclaim the PKB by rolling out a Special Committee (Pansus).

According to him, PKB is a political party that is administratively recognized by the state, so it is included in the category of independent institutions and does not depend on other institutions, including PBNU.

Thus, PKB cannot be returned to PBNU, considering that the political party led by Muhaimin Iskandar is not an object or asset owned by PBNU.

Dedi emphasized that if PBNU considers PKB to have deviated from the initial fatsun formation, they will be more elegant in establishing new political parties with large resources.

"If (the formation of a new political party) is realized, it must be emphasized in the AD/ART that the highest leader in the party is the General Chair of PBNU. I think it is more knight than continuing to bring up PKB as if it was away from NU," he said, Sunday, July 28, 2024.

Dedi said that the statement by the Secretary General of PBNU, Gus Ipul, who said that PKB would not stand without PBNU was a past. Because, even though it was dressed by PBNU officials, PKB was founded as a political party, not an organ in PBNU structure.

Previously, PBNU Secretary General Saifullah Yusuf revealed that currently his party was discussing forming a kind of special committee to return the PKB to the NU lap, because it was considered to deviate from the initial fatsun of its establishment.
