Patimban Port Is Expected To Be Integrated With Industrial Estates

The Acting Regent of Subang Imran hopes that in the future the Patimban Port will be integrated with industrial areas in the area, so that the Subang economic area can be formed.

"In general, we from the Subang Regency Government support investment developments. Including the development of the Patimban Port," said Imran, in his statement in Subang, quoted from Antara, Saturday, July 27.

He conveyed that the Subang Regency Government had taken concrete actions to support investment, namely the existence of Regional Regulations on Ease of Investment and Portal Regional Regulations.

With the commitment to investment development, he said, in the future it is hoped that the Patimban Port and industrial areas in Subang can be integrated. So that the Subang economic area will be formed.

"With the Patimban Port, industrial estates in Subang can be integrated. So I from the district government really hope that industrial areas in Subang can be integrated into one Subang economic area," he said.

He conveyed that the Subang Regency Government is ready to support the progress of the Patimban Port and hopes that the existence of the Patimban Port will be able to have a good impact, not only in Subang but up to the new State Capital.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Transportation together with PT Pelabuhan Patimban Internasional (PPI) and PT Patimban International Car Terminal (PICT), continue to develop Patimban Port to provide sea transportation facilities, as well as as business outlets for business actors, especially in West Java.

Patimban Port was built and developed in several stages, namely phase I-1 (year 2018-2021), stage I-2 (year 2022-2025), and will continue in phase II and stage III.

The government is also building the Patimban Port ecosystem with the development of backup areas to support smooth port activities.

Patimban Port currently has various operational facilities, including automation gates at international terminals, receiving areas at domestic and international terminals, complete facilities at inspection areas, pre yard, storage yards, CCTV security at 20 points, to lighting at storage areas and piers.

The port is also equipped with CIQP (Customs Immigration Quarantine Procedure) to support export and import activities. Ship services at this port are carried out online through Inaportnet.

According to the Ministry of Transportation, in 2021 the Vehicle Terminal with a capacity of 218,000 CBU/year has served operations with a total cargo of 31,856 CBU/year or 15 percent of capacity.

Then in 2022 the total charge will increase to 198,064 CBU/year or 91.1 percent of capacity, and in 2023 the total cargo will be 224,935 CBU or 103.18 percent of capacity.

Furthermore, in June 2024, the total cargo has reached 90,659 CBU or 41.59 percent of capacity.
