PGN Salurkan Gas To Hotel Nusantara At IKN
JAKARTA - PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN), conducted a trial of distributing the first natural gas to commercial customers, namely Hotel Nusantara which is located in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN).
General Manager of Sales and Operation Region III PGN, Hedi Hedianto, said this step is a form of PGN's commitment to supporting infrastructure development in the IKN area, as well as encouraging increased operational efficiency of Hotel Nusantara itself.
"In this case, PGN provides a combination of services through the beyond pipeline mode in the form of a more flexible Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) to be able to accelerate the IKN development target," he told the media, Saturday, July 27.
Hedi said, after being distributed, now Hotel Nusantara can take advantage of natural gas from PGN as the main source of energy in cooking activities. That way, Hotel Nusantara can reduce the use of other fuels that can have an unfavorable impact on the environment.
PGN also projects the distribution of natural gas by 13,800 m3 per month to Hotel Nusantara. PGN also ensures that the distribution process in the future can run safely and smoothly.
He hopes that the distribution of natural gas to Hotel Nusantara can facilitate hotel operational activities more effectively and efficiently.

Project Manager of Hotel Nusantara, Herry Sukoco appreciated the support provided by PGN in providing natural gas in the IKN area. He said that hotel operational activities often require gas, so PGN's support is a solution to fulfill energy itself.
We are here using materials supplied by the State Gas Company, especially for kitchen areas that mostly use gas. The use of natural gas makes activities easier, because we no longer have supply-related problems. Herry said.
For information, until now PGN has also contributed to IKN development by preparing pipeline infrastructure for 10.7 KM which has been installed for the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) 1A and its construction is still continuing. For the initial stage, this pipeline infrastructure is projected to meet natural gas needs in the household customer sector as many as 9,996 Home Connections (SR).
