The Attorney General's Office Names Members Of The House Of Representatives From The NasDem Faction, Ujang Iskandar, A Suspect In The Corruption Fund Of The West Kotawaringin Regency Government

JAKARTA - Member of the House of Representatives from the NasDem faction, Ujang Iskandar, was named a suspect in the alleged corruption case of misappropriation of West Kotawaringin Government funds for the 2009 period.

The Head of the Attorney General's Office, Harli Siregar, said that the determination of the suspect against Ujang Iskandar was after the Central Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) investigator team conducted an examination and filed a case.

"Then from the case held by the investigator concluded that the person concerned was named a suspect," Harli told reporters, Friday, July 26.

With the determination of this suspect, Ujang Iskandar is undergoing detention at the Salemba Rutan at the AGO branch. The detention was carried out while investigators developed and examined further regarding the alleged corruption case

"After examining as a suspect, investigators are also determined to detain him for the next 20 days, which is temporarily deposited at the Salemba Rutan, the Attorney General's Office Branch," said Harli.

However, regarding the value of state losses due to alleged corruption, Harli has not detailed. The reason is that the inspection process is still ongoing.

"It will be updated later," said Harli.

Ujang Iskandar was arrested in connection with the alleged corruption case of misappropriation of West Kotawaringin Government funds. The arrests were made when Ujang Iskandar arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) after returning from Vietnam, today.
