PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) stated that as many as 23 ships are ready to operate within 24 hours for the Lembar and Padangbai Ports to support the success of the Asian Road Racing Championship (ARRC) which will be held in Mandalika 26-28 July 2024.
General Manager of ASDP Lembar Branch Agus Djoko in a statement in Jakarta, Friday, July 26. said that the 23 ships were prepared in case of congestion and accumulation of passengers at the crossing.
"If conditions are very congested, it will use the operational scenario of all ships on standby operation as many as 23 units of ships according to BPTD arrangements, with a total of 23 pp (away-away) trips that will carry all passengers and vehicles," Agus said, quoted from Antara.
However, if it only experiences a spike that does not cause a density, ASDP will prepare a scenario in accordance with the authority of the Land Transportation Management Center (BPTD), the number of ships operating will be increased to 18 units per hour, with a total of 18 trips.
