Coklit Completed, New Voters In West Java Recorded There Are 1.29 Million People

The General Election Commission (KPU) of West Java (Jabar) noted that new voters in the province from the results of the matching and research (coklit) conducted by the Voter Data Update Committee (panterlih) reached 1,292,461 people.

Head of West Java KPU Datin Division Ahmad Nur Hidayat said the number, known after the implementation of the coklit in West Java, had reached 100 percent.

"The number of new voters for male gender 673,647 and female 618,814 people", said Ahmad in Bandung, Friday, July 26, quoted by Antara.

For the number of voters, continued Ahmad, there were 297,721 people and 327,184 women with a total of 621,905 people.

"Meanwhile, the number of voters did not meet the requirements for the death category as many as 406,201. There were 5,126 doubles voters under the age of 337, moved domiciled 171,002 and 403 foreign nationals," said Ahmad.

There were 1,331 voters who entered the TNI category and 1,500 Polri. Meanwhile, the number of voters who did not comply with the TPS reached 825,941, 53,971 physical disabled voters, 9,716 intellectuals, 22,432, 20,081 speech sensory, 6,682 hearings and 20,483 neutral sensory.

Ahmad emphasized that the implementation of updating voter data with the baton mechanism in West Java had been completed on July 23, 2024 at 13.00 with the distribution of polling stations reaching 73,225.

After the coklit carried out by Pantarlih, the Temporary Voter List (DPS) will then be compiled.

"The preparation of the Voter List for the results of the upgrade by PPS will be carried out on July 25-31, 2024. Furthermore, the Plenary Meeting on the Recapitulation of the Village/Village Level Update Results List by PPS 1-3 August 2024," he said.

The plenary meeting recapitulated the voter list resulting from the sub-district level updating by PPK 5-7 August 2024, the district/city KPU level 9-11 August 2024, the provincial level by the provincial KPU 15-17 August 2024.

Ahmad also believes that all of the Pettarlih in West Java are in accordance with their duties, namely carrying out updating voter data through matching and research, meeting with voters directly, and compiling and making reports on the results of the bulk to PPS.

"This is the result of specific monitoring that has been carried out by the West Java Provincial KPU on Pantarlih. Pantarlih has also filled out the work paper of Pantarlih as stated in the Voter A-Daftar Model Form, Model A Form List of Voters, Model Form A Signs Coklit Evidence, Model A Sticker Coklit Form, and Coklit Results Report," he said.
