The Ministry Of PUPR Completes The Arrangement Of Balekambang Park In Surakarta, Costs IDR 170 Billion
The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has disbursed a budget of IDR 170 billion to organize the Balekambang Park area in Surakarta City, Central Java.
PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said the arrangement of Balekambang Park was carried out by the Central Java Regional Settlement Infrastructure Agency (BPPW) of the Directorate General of Human Settlements with the implementing contractor PT Housing Development.
"Even though now it appears with a new face, I personally want to keep Balekambang Park as a people's tourist destination. People can come for a group (ticket) title," Minister Basuki said in his official statement, quoted Friday, July 26.
The budget is used for the construction of open performance stages (amphitheaters), revitalization of indoor performance buildings, arrival pavilions, gastronomi, minapadi, landscapes, mobile fences, drainage, skywalks and reservoirs as well as arrangement of parti pools.
Balekambang Park was built during the reign of KGPAA Mangkunegoro VIII, which is October 26, 1921.
The construction of the park is a form of KGPAA Mangkunegoro VII's affection for his two daughters, GRAY Partini and GRAY Partinah.

Basuki assessed that the arrangement of Balekambang Park is part of the Ministry of PUPR's support for the development of educational tourism with an environmental perspective and preservation of arts and culture.
The presence of Balekambang Park is expected to play an important role in maintaining ecology and environmental sustainability and being able to become a new tourist attraction for domestic and foreign tourists.
Thus, it brings significant benefits to the community, the environment and the economy, especially the city of Surakarta.
