Hyundai Leave 10 Kona Electric Units To Blue Bird For IKN And 3 Units To Customers At GIIAS 2024
TANGERANG - PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) announced handing over 10 units of all-new Kona Electric to the famous taxi provider, Blue Bird. The car will be used to support carbon-neutral mobility in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan.
President Director of PT Blue Bird Tbk Adrianto Djokosoetono said that this collaboration proves that his party has a commitment in a sustainable ecosystem and continues to strive to reduce the number of emissions by 50 percent by 2030.
"We appreciate Hyundai's consistent efforts in providing high-quality electric vehicles to bring advanced mobility that is more environmentally friendly to the wider community," said the man who is familiarly called Andre.
At the same time, the manufacturer also handed over Kona Electric units to three customers at the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) or a week after HMID announced the official price of the model for the Indonesian market.
President Director of PT HMID Woojune Cha, said that the submission of this unit to customers also proves that this model has more confidence in creating an environmentally friendly ecosystem in Indonesia.
"In the future, Hyundai will continue to strengthen our electric vehicle ecosystem to ensure the experience of ownership of electric vehicles without worrying for the people of Indonesia," said Cha at an event at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Thursday, July 25.

It is known, Kona Electric is the first BEV with a local-made battery that presents futuristic design, broad interior, and advanced technology from Hyundai.
In Indonesia, the second generation of Kona comes in five different variants, such as Style as entry-level, Prime Standard Range, Prime Long Range, Signature Standard Range, and Signature Long Range.
The car has a futuristic design of the Pixelated Seamless Horizon Lamp that stretches along the front and back to create a clean and iconic display.
This car has a number of interesting features on its inside such as a 12.3-inch multimedia display, steering wheel made of fine skin, front seat heating and ventilating, 8-way front seat settings, and chairs covered with skin.
In terms of performance, this car is offered with an electric motor measuring 114.6 kW to the highest reaching 160 kW and a battery with a capacity of 48.9 kWh to 66 kWh which can cover a distance of 448 km to 602 km in a full battery state.
The Hyundai all-new Kona Electric is offered in five variants, namely Style, Prime Standard Range, Prime Long Range, Signature Standard Range, and Signature Long Range at prices ranging from IDR 499 million to IDR 590 million on The Road DKI Jakarta.
