4 State-Owned Banks Enter Top 1,000 World Banks 2024, Erick Thohir: Alhamdulillah, So Additional Motivation

JAKARTA - The Banker, international media released the Top 1,000 World Banks 2024.

In the list, there are 26 banks originating from Indonesia, four of which are state-owned banks.

The banks in question are PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk and PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk.

Where on the list, BRI banks occupy the 110th position. Then Bank Mandiri, in the 120th position. Then, BNI managed to occupy 192th position. Meanwhile, BTN is in 611th position.

The premeter of The Banker's assessment in determining the Top 1,000 World Banks 2024 includes tier 1 capital, assets, profit pre tax, capital asset ratio, return on capital and return on assets.

SOE Minister Erick Thohir said that the international recognition of Indonesian banking cannot be separated from strong and stable economic growth.

"Alhamdullah, 4 state-owned banks, namely BRI, Mandiri banks, BNI and BTN, are included in the Top 1000 World Banks 2024 from the international media, The Banker," he said, quoted from Instagram @erickthohir, in Jakarta, Thursday, July 25.

Erick also said that this success was an appreciation for the transformation and hard work that had been done amidst the uncertainty of the world economy.

"This recognition from the international community must be an additional motivation for all SOE personnel to be able to continue to provide benefits for Indonesia. Enthusiasm," he said.
