White House Considers US Flag Burns When Netanyahu In US Congress Embarrassing, 9 People Arrested
JAKARTA - The White House (White House) called the protesters' protests during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivering a speech at the United States Congress (US), Washington DC, a shame.
"Identifying themselves with malicious terrorist organizations such as Hamas, burning the American flag, or forcibly lifting the American flag and replacing it with another flag, is a shame. Antisemitism and violence is unacceptable," said White House spokesman Andrew
"Everyone American has the right to protest peacefully. But unfortunately, not everyone shows peace today," he said.
Police arrested nine people during protests around Washington, DC.
According to DC police, two people were arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer after pushing law enforcement during a protest near the Union Station.
Two other people were arrested after crossing the police line after an officer was attacked, DC Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela Smith said.
At another location near the Capitol, five people were also charged with crowds until they interfered after police said they used a locking device to unite hands and block traffic.

"Although many people choose to use their first amendment rights peacefully in our city, some choose not to comply with the law," Smith said.
"I express my gratitude and sincere appreciation to members of the Metropolitan Police Department who have helped our local, state and federal partners, and especially our community that help us keep the Columbia District safe for everyone," he said.
