Focused on Finishing His Term, President Biden: I Will Work to End the War in Gaza

JAKARTA - President Joe Biden has made efforts to end the war in the Gaza Strip, Palestine, one of the priorities of his work focus to complete his term.

Speaking from the Oval Office, White House, this was his first public appearance after being announced infected with COVID-19 last week and withdrawing from the US Presidential Election in November.

A number of agendas that are the priority of his work focus at the end of his term were revealed by the Democratic politician, including "defending" the right to vote and "opposing hate extremism."

"The next six months will be focused on doing my job as president," said President Biden (81), quoted from CNN on July 25.

"That means I will continue to lower costs for hardworking families, grow our economy. I will continue to defend our personal freedoms and civil rights, from the right to vote to the right to be elected," he explained.

"I will continue to oppose hate extremism, affirming that there is no place, no place in America, for political violence, or any violence, ever, period," Biden continued, highlighting domestic policies he would pursue.

Meanwhile, internationally, his priorities include efforts to end the war in Gaza and stop Russian President Vladimir Putin in Ukraine.

"I will continue to work to end the war in Gaza. Bringing all the hostages home, bringing peace and security to the Middle East and ending this war," President Biden said.

"We will continue to rally a coalition of proud nations to stop (President) Putin from taking over Ukraine," he continued.

"We will make NATO stronger and more powerful and more united than ever before in our history," he said.
