Thursday Morning, M 3.6 Earthquake Shakes Tasikmalaya

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that an earthquake with a magnitude (M) of 3.6 rocked Kuningan and Tasikmalaya Regencies, West Java, on Thursday, July 25, 2024 morning.

According to a BMKG report, the earthquake occurred at 04.01 this morning.

"The epicenter was at a depth of 6 km at 6.98 south latitude (LS), and 108.51 east longitude (BT)," the BMKG report said.

The epicenter of the earthquake was on land, 3 kilometers southeast of Kuningan Regency, West Java.

"The earthquake was felt to the MMI II-III scale in Kuningan," continued BMKG.

Until this news was revealed there had been no reports of damage to buildings or victims.
