Hasto Kristiyanto Did Not Participate In Being Prevented Abroad In The Harun Masiku Case, KPK: Investigators Have A Strategy

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said its investigators had a special strategy in investigating allegations of corruption. Including the question of who are prevented from leaving the country.

This was conveyed by KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika when asked about PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto who was not prevented from traveling from Indonesia regarding the bribery case of former PDIP candidate Harun Masiku who was still at large.

"That investigators have their own way of strategy and tactics in the investigation process," Tessa told reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, July 23.

The KKPK has just asked the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) to prevent five people from leaving the country regarding allegations. One of them is Kusnadi who is a Hasto staff.

Returning to Tessa, he said investigators would also consider the needs of the investigation. For prevention it is fully under the authority of investigators. Anyone who is deemed necessary to not go abroad, in this case, investigators have only determined five people (prevented, ed)," he said.

"Will there be any additional additions, we will leave it entirely to the investigators," continued the spokesman with the investigator's background.
