JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Muhaimin Iskandar said that the permit for the Special Committee meeting (Pansus) for Hajj Anggat has been signed by him. "The implementation of the meeting may be waiting for friends. There are still many in the regions because of the recess. I hope that if this recess is busy, then it is set in time," he said in Jakarta, Sunday, July 21, responding to the question about the initial meeting of the special committee being canceled. "Meanwhile, he explained that the appointment of the Chairperson of the Hajj Anggat Special Committee will be discussed internally without the involvement of the DPR RI leadership. "I am no longer involved. The leadership will fully hand over who will be the leader of the special committee," he explained. Furthermore, he said that the focus of the discussion would be discussed specifically by the Hajj Special Committee.. "This budget committee will focus on the name of the visa that is not in accordance with the law, focus there," he said. Previously, the inaugural meeting of the DPR RI Hajj Committee regarding the implementation of the 2024 Hajj which was originally scheduled to be held on Wednesday 17 July afternoon, at 13.00 WIB, but it was canceled. Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives's Hajj Special Committee Wisnu Wijaya said that the plan was to discuss the selection of the special committee leadership, and the meeting would also be attended by the leadership of the DPR RI.
