Many Party Assets Are Listed In The Name Of Individuals, The Democratic Party, The KLB Kubu, Conduct Data Collection
JAKARTA - The Democratic Party of the Extraordinary Congress (KLB) of Deli Serdang has collected data on assets. This was done after the cadres received information regarding the number of assets purchased from the party's money, which was actually registered in the name of an individual or private.
"This is certainly not true and there is a potential for the embezzlement of assets by private individuals," said the spokesman for the Democratic Party of the KLB camp, Muhammad Rahmad in a written statement on Sunday, March 21.
He said that data collection while waiting for the approval of the Democratic Party's DPP management is necessary and important to do. This is because the money for the asset purchase comes from the cadre's money and should be registered in the name of the party.
"These assets must be registered in the name of the party and fully used for the benefit of party members and the wider community," he said.
As for the assets purchased using donations from cadres and the public, one of which is the DPP Democrat Party's office on Jalan Proklamasi No. 41 Jakarta. Based on available information, the office was bought when the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) was still the General Chair of the Democratic Party at a price of more than Rp100 billion.
However, the ownership certificate is not registered in the name of the party but in the name of each individual. "We are currently investigating this important information and researching its correctness. If it is true, of course this is a method that is not good for the democratic party, ”said Rahmad.
Similar data collection was also carried out on party assets in the regions. So, in the future party assets will not necessarily turn into personal assets.
"Therefore, we need data so that the cadres and the people who contribute are not harmed," he concluded.
