Through GIIAS Mitsubishi Fuso Handover Unit ECanter To First Buyer

JAKARTA - After the official launch of the eCanter, PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB), the official distributor of the Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) in Indonesia, officially handed over the electric truck eCanter to its first buyer, PT Yusen Logistics Indonesia.

This eCanter submission is Mitsubishi Fuso's step in supporting government policies towards net zero emissions in 2060 and accelerating electrification in the automotive industry. Mitsubishi Fuso has gone through various important stages before finally launching an eCanter in Indonesia, starting from trials with 10 large companies in Indonesia, intensive socialization, to finally making official sales and handing over vehicles to consumers.

"Mitsubishi Fuso is the pioneer of electric trucks in Indonesia and today, PT. Yusen Logistics Indonesia will be the first pioneer user of eCanter in Indonesia. KTB's partnership with PT. Yusen Logistics Indonesia has been long established since 2011. The Canter and Fighter X units are operated for logistics activities in their business to date. Last year, PT Yusen Logistics Indonesia was one of the companies participating in the eCanter trial held. Based on the satisfactory POC results, PT Yusen Logistic Indonesia decided to strengthen their fleet with electric trucks eCanter.

The eCanter is believed to be able to meet the operational needs of PT Yusen Logistic Indonesia thanks to its superior technical specifications. The eCanter equipped with an M-sized battery with a capacity of 83kWh is capable of traveling as far as 140 km with a GVW of 6 tons. This eCanter electric truck is very suitable for logistics business with operations in cities such as in Jabodetabek areas.

In the unit handover ceremony, Tetsuya Aoyama, President Director of PT. Yusen Logistic Indonesia said that this purchase was made because of the performance of the eCanter, especially the very good battery in every condition and is equipped with a 6-year warranty.

We will operate this eCanter in Jabodetabek to Karawang. We hope to reduce CO2 emissions by about 10-ton in one year. In the future, we will continue to discuss reducing CO2 emissions with our consumers, and we plan to gradually increase the number of eCanters as requested", he said.
