Suahasil Nazara on Division of Tasks with Thomas Djiwandono at the Ministry of Finance: We Do Everything
JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Finance I Suahasil Nazara has spoken out regarding the division of tasks between himself and Deputy Minister of Finance II Thomas Djiwandono.
Suahasil said that he will continue to carry out all tasks given by the Ministry of Finance in managing state finances.
"We will carry out all the work tasks of the Ministry of Finance," he said when met at the Ministry of Finance, Thursday, July 18.
Previously, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that with the inauguration of Thomas Djiwandono as Deputy Minister of Finance II, he will work together with Deputy Minister of Finance I Suahasil Nazara in managing state finances and preparing the 2025 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (RAPBN).
"Mr. Thomas Djiwandono as Deputy Minister of Finance will work together with Mr. Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara and also all echelon 1 officials to be able to carry out the task of managing state finances, carrying out duties as state treasurer together," she said at a press conference at the Ministry of Finance, Thursday, July 18.
Sri Mulyani said that the task of Deputy Minister of Finance II Thomas Djiwandono is to focus on the preparation of the 2025 Draft State Budget (RAPBN).
Thomas' entry into the Ministry of Finance will facilitate the process of synchronizing a number of policies from the Government of President and Vice President-elect Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
"We all know that we are very familiar with the APBN cycle. So indeed the focus for Thomas will be to participate in the preparation of the 2025 RAPBN. With Thomas' entry, all communication will be much easier," said Sri Mulyani in a press conference, Thursday, July 18.
Sri Mulyani emphasized that Thomas' presence as Deputy Minister of Finance II will strengthen the Ministry of Finance in coordinating with the Prabowo-Gibran Synchronization Task Force Team.
She hopes that the transition process will run smoothly.
"As Deputy Minister of Finance II, Mr. Tommy will further strengthen us at the Ministry of Finance in coordinating with this transition process team, in this government transition process," she explained.

Sri Mulyani also conveyed that steps in managing the State Budget (APBN) must be able to mitigate risks in order to maintain economic stability and strengthen the momentum of economic growth, while maintaining healthy and sustainable fiscal instruments.
