Fajar/Rian Learn From The 2020 Tokyo Olympics
JAKARTA Experience when he was a sparring team at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics really helped the Indonesian men's doubles pair Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto in preparation for appearing at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Fajar/Rian will for the first time experience the Olympics when they are held in Paris from July 26 to August 11, 2024. However, the Olympic atmosphere is no stranger to them.
You see, during the 2024 Tokyo Olympics, the couple flew there. At that time they were taken for the sake of competing with Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo and Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan.
Rian said that the opportunity to study at that time was a very valuable experience for them. The reason is, the picture of what kind of preparation they at least already have.

"We learned from there. So, at this time we have at least an idea of what kind of training camp. It doesn't feel much different so we already know more about managing our focus," he said.
Fajar/Rian and the Indonesian badminton team have been undergoing Chambly training for four days. They went there in a large group with other PBSI National Training Team for the purpose of playing games.
Fajar/Rian have Sparring partners Bagas Maulana, Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, and Daniel Marthin. Both were also assisted by Candra Wijaya and Hendra Setiawan's mentors who had won Olympic gold.
The men's doubles coach, Aryono, emphasized that Sparring partners and mentors played such an important role in the training camp that was carried out this time.
The two elements are the key to Fajar/Rian's training that can run smoothly.
"Fikri with the front game, while Bagas and Daniel are strong in the back ball. This is good for defensive training," he said.
Badminton has a total of nine athletes who will appear at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Apart from Fajar/Rian, the other seven names are Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Jonatan Christie, Rinov Rivaldy, Pitha Haningtyas Mentari, Apriyani Rahayu, and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti.
Badminton sports (sports) will start competing from July 27 to August 5, 2024. Indonesia hopes that many of these sports will get gold medals.
