Thomas Djiwandono Officially Inaugurated As Deputy Minister Of Finance II, This Is The Salary He Received
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) officially inaugurated three new Deputy Ministers (wamen) of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.
One of them is Thomas Djiwandono who was inaugurated as Deputy Minister of Finance, Yuliot Tanjung as Deputy Minister of Investment/BKPM and Sudaryono as Deputy Minister of Agriculture.
Meanwhile, Thomas Djiwandono is a politician from the Gerindra Party as well as the nephew of the elected President Prabowo Subianto who has been inaugurated as Deputy Minister of Finance II to partner with Deputy Minister of Finance I Suahasil Nazara to accompany Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati.
Based on the Regulation of the Minister of Finance (PMK) Number 176/PMK.02/2015 concerning Financial Rights and Other Facilities for the Deputy Minister, the amount of financial rights received by the Deputy Minister is 85 percent of the allowance for ministerial positions as stipulated in Presidential Decree Number 68 of 2001 concerning Position Allowances for Certain State Officials.
Then the ministerial allowance is regulated in Presidential Decree Number 68 of 2001 concerning Position Allowances for Certain Officials, which is IDR 13.61 million per month. Thus, the Deputy Minister will receive an allowance of IDR 11.57 million.
Furthermore, the Deputy Minister is also entitled to receive a financial right of 135 percent of the performance allowances of echelon IA structural officials with the highest position ranking as stipulated in the Presidential Regulation which regulates the performance allowances applicable to the Ministry where the Deputy Minister is on duty.
In addition, the Deputy Minister will also get several state facilities such as official vehicles, office houses, and health insurance.
The service vehicles provided are the same as the standard input fee for the procurement of official vehicles for echelon IA structural officials.
Regarding the office house, the Deputy Minister is entitled to a class I state house in accordance with the provisions of the legislation with standards under the minister and above the echelon IA structural officials.
If the ministry concerned has not been able to provide a office for the Deputy Minister, the ministry can provide compensation in the form of housing allowances of IDR 35 million every month.
For information, Thomas Djiwandono has been the General Treasurer of the Gerindra Party since 2014 and has served as the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka's Synchronization Task Force Team for Economics and Finance led by Sufmi Dasco Ahmad during the transition of President-elect Prabowo Subianto's leadership.
Thomas Djiwandono or commonly called Tommy is a man born in Jakarta on May 7, 1972. He is the first child of the couple Joseph Soedradjad Djiwandono and Biantiningsih Miderawati Djojohadikusumo.
Thomas' father was the Governor of Bank Indonesia in the 1993 '1998 period while his mother was the older brother of Prabowo Subianto.
Therefore Tommy is none other than the nephew of the elected President Prabowo Subianto and the great-grandson of the founder of Bank BNI, RM Margono Djojohadikusumo, and the grandson of former Minister of Finance Soemitro Djojohadikoesoemo.
Tommy underwent education at the Kanisius Menteng Middle School, Jakarta and then studied history from Haverford College University, Pennsylvania, from 1990 to 1995 and majored in International Relations and International Economics from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, Washington, United States.
Tommy started his career as a Tempo Magazine journalist in 1993 and later joined Indonesia Business Weekly in 1994. In addition, he has also worked as a financial analysis at Wheelock NatWest Securities, Hong Kong
Then, Tommy was then asked by his uncle, Hashim Djojohadikusumo, to serve as Deputy CEO of Arsari Group, an agribusiness company, in 2006.
As for the Gerindra Party structure, Tommy served as general treasurer in the 2014-2019 period. Then in the 2024 presidential election, Tommy occupied the position of General Treasurer of the Prabowo National Campaign Team (TKN) Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
