Long Awaited, Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Arrives At GIIAS 2024 At A Price Of Around IDR 1.3 Billion

JAKARTA - Ioniq 5 N has finally officially paved Indonesia. PT Hyundai Motor Indonesia (HMID) officially presents the high-performance crossover to the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).

Not only carrying the electric car, but the manufacturer also introduced a Hyundai N sub-brand to the public in the country as a division that presents high-performance vehicles.

"We present Ioniq 5 N in Indonesia," said Vice President of Hyundai N Motorsport Till Wartenberg at the launch at GIIAS 2024, Tangerang, Wednesday, July 17.

Carrying the theme 'Never Just Driven', Ioniq 5N is the first high-performance electric vehicle (EV) ever marketed by Hyundai. This model proves that EVs can have the same driving pleasure characteristics as combustion car (ICE).

Hyundai also revealed that Ioniq 5 N is their first step in planning electrification and they hope to bring in more EV cars developed by N.

In terms of exteriors, the Hyundai N division adds several elements to enhance the impression of sporty in this model, such as black trim and rear wing designed to improve vehicle aerodynamics.

This manufacturer from the country of ginseng also optimizes a number of components in improving its performance, starting from regulation of suspensions, aerodynamic components, and improvements in the regenerating braking system in order to reduce its weight.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is also equipped with 21-inch aluminum rims equipped with the top tires, namely Pirelli P Zero 275/35R2 with impressive grip power.

Another increase was also made in the engine. The Ioniq 5N is equipped with a dual electric motor that produces 600 dk of power and a torque of 748 Nm. In fact, with the N Grin Boost feature, this figure can increase to 641 dk and the 770 Nm torque.

With this power, Ioniq 5 N can reach a speed of 0 to 100 km/h in about 3.5 seconds, with a maximum speed of 260 km/hour.

The automotive manufacturer with the 'H' lopsided logo also embeds the latest battery pack with a capacity of 84 kWh, which is the highest among all Hyundai electric cars. With the ultra-fast charging feature, Ioniq 5N can charge from 10 to 80 percent within 18 minutes.

Special things for this car are N e-shift and N Active Sound +. These two features provide a satisfying experience for users of the crossover.

N e-shifts are useful for users who want to feel the sensation of driving an Ioniq 5N car such as combustion engine cars. This feature can simulate a transmission system of eight DCT accelerations so that drivers can feel the same driving sensation.

Meanwhile, N Active Sound + creates a sound that resembles a combustion engine car in Ioniq 5 N. There are 10 speakers, eight inside the vehicle and two outside, which offer several voice themes.

The first theme is "Ignition" which mimics the sound of the 2.0T N engine, and the second theme is "Evolution" which offers the distinctive sound of high-powered cars already in the RN22e model.
