Indie Games Accelerator Graduates From Indonesia Ready For Business Expansion To Global Level

JAKARTA - Four Indonesian game studios celebrate the graduation of the 2024 Indie Games Accelerator (IGA) program with 21 other game studios from eight countries in Asia-Pacific which will be held in Bangalore, India.

The four game studios from Indonesia include Algorocks, Dreams Studio, Lentera Nusantara and Own Games.

Through this program, the development of the game is not only limited to technical quality, but also a wider user reach target.

Generally, indie game studios prefer to develop casual games that usually require little resources and relatively short launch time with faster monetization potential.

Now, more and more indie studio games are preparing themselves for expansion into the mobile platform.

This development is also being carried out by Lentera Nusantara for their two games, namely Ghost Parade, which was their first IP launched in 2016, and Tuyul Mantul Pinball Adventure, a game product they registered with IGA training.

Previously, the two games were in the mobile game journey stage, with the knowledge of self-learning. When we take part in IGA, we get a lot of new insights from mentors, so these two games, especially Tuyul Mantul, need us to warm up with the new science we have received," explained Azizah Assattari, CEO of Lentera Nusantara.

In practice, the business development process is often a challenge for indie studio games, both in terms of funding, and limited resources.

This is an opportunity for IGA to pave the way for publicists, investors, and industry organizations to engage and develop this growing collection of talents, said Marcus Foon, Global Head, Indie Games Accelerator.

By providing support in overall marketing, distribution, monetization, and business strategies, these partners are expected to unlock the full potential of indie game developers in Asia-Pacific.
