The National Police Chief Says He Has An Obligation In The Vina Cirebon Case Even Though It Happened 8 Years Ago
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that the Bhayangkara Corps had an obligation to reveal the true facts behind the murder cases of Vina and Eky Cirebon. Although, the incident occurred eight years ago.
"Even though it happened 8 years ago, yes, 2016. But of course we have an obligation to do an in-depth investigation," Sigit told reporters, Wednesday, July 17.
The investigation was carried out in line with the death of the suspect's status, Pegi Setiawan, after the Bandung District Court granted his pretrial lawsuit.
In addition, several police reports or LPs were submitted to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police regarding the handling of the 2016 murder cases of Vina and Eky.

Sigit also said that later all the facts found in the investigation and investigation process would be clearly violated to the public.
"Then in time, after everything is complete, we will convey to the public transparently about the facts we find," said Sigit.
In this case, the police have named 8 suspects in 2016. They include seven convicts in the murder cases of Vina and Eky, namely, Eka Sandi, Hadi Saputra, Supriyanto, Rivaldi, Eko, Jaya, Sudirman, and Saka Tatal.
Of the eight people, only Saka Tatal has been released. While the rest are still languishing in iron bars because in the trial they were sentenced to life imprisonment.
