Save IKN Project, KPK Asked To Audit Sinarmas Group Company Finances
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo was asked to be more careful in inviting several private companies to contribute to building the capital city of Nusantara (IKN). Moreover, among the private companies there is a Sinarmas Group.
This was conveyed by the Chairman of the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) for Legal Smart Consumers, Alvin Liem, to reporters after holding an action in front of the KPK Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 17.
Alvin said the IKN development project clearly used funds from the state budget. This unknown lawyer is worried that the state budget funds originating from public money will be misused by the private company.

"That with these concerns, we assess that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) needs to impose sanctions on financial reports in connection with IKN development projects in collaboration with private companies, one of which is the Sinasmas Group," said Alvin Liem.
Not only that, Alvin also asked President Joko Widodo to fire a member of the Wantimpres named Gandi Sulistiyanto Soeherman. He reasoned that Gandi was a deposit from the Sinarmas Group company.
Sinarmas' accusations of peaceful action at the KPK building again reminded Freddy Widjaja's struggle. Freddy is the son of Sinarmas Group Boss, Eka Tjipta Widjaja. When asked about the peaceful demonstration at the KPK, Freddy admitted that he did not know about this.
"I am not aware of any peaceful demonstrations asking the KPK to conduct an audit of the company that was built by my father," Freddy Widjaja told reporters when contacted by telephone.
It is known that Freddy Widjaja had reported his three brothers, namely Indra Widjaja, Muktar Widjaja, and Franky Oesman Widjaja to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police in November 2021. This report is related to falsification of birth certificates which made Freddy Widjaja's status as Eka Tjipta's son annulled by the Supreme Court (MA).
