Increase Investment Interests, BCA Launches New Stock Index Fund Mutual
JAKARTA - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) or BCA launched the Mutual Fund for Batavia Index Pefindo i-Grade (BIPI).
This product is expected to increase public investment interest and have a positive impact on national economic growth.
The BIPI Mutual Fund is the result of collaboration between BCA and PT Batavia Prosperindo Asset Management (BPAM) as investment manager. This is the first time that BCA has done this in the banking world.
Director of BCA Haryanto T Budiman emphasized the importance of diversifying portfolios in investment to minimize risks.
"We hope that the presence of this latest Mutual Fund Index can increase investment product options for customers and people who are interested in investing in the Stock Index Mutual Fund," said Haryanto in a written statement, Wednesday, July 17.
The BIPI Mutual Fund is the second Stock Index Mutual Fund launched by BCA.
They realized that public interest in investment continued to increase positively.
"BCA is here to meet these needs. This growth is reflected in the increase in BCA's wealth management management fund which grew more than 40 percent year on year (yoy) as of March 2024," he said.
Meanwhile, BPAM President Director Lilis Setiadi said that his party offered the Mutual Fund for the Batavia Index Pefindo i-Grade (BIPI) which invested in the company's shares in the Pefindo i-Grade Index.
The Pefindo I-Grade Index contingent includes 30 stocks that have a grade investment rating from Pefindo (idAA to idBB-) and are selected based on certain criteria by Pefindo.
This index is managed by PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (IDX) in collaboration with PT Pemeringkat Efek Indonesia (Pefindo).
"We believe that the BIPI Mutual Fund can be an alternative for investors who have long-term investment horizons and like the management that follows the index," he said.
