Aiming For AI Development Opportunities Of 366 Billion US Dollars, Indonesia Ready To Appear In ITAP 2024

JAKARTA - Indonesia projects that Artificial Intelligence (AI) will make a significant contribution of 366 billion US dollars to the economy in the next decade.

Taking advantage of existing opportunities, Indonesia intends to accelerate the growth of the largest AI ecosystem in Southeast Asia with the 2045 National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence (Stratnas AI).

In addition, business actors in this sector also plan to participate in the Industrial Transformation Asia-Pacific (ITAP) to be held at the Singapore Expo on October 14-16, 2024.

ITAP 2024 will focus on shaping the future with sustainable manufacturing while highlighting the latest AI integration capabilities that allow various manufacturing sectors at various levels of technology adoption to encourage business growth while contributing to global climate goals.

Ahead of the exhibition in October Constellar will hold the ITAP 2024 roadshow to Indonesia and Vietnam to meet with associations and industry players.

Constellar Chief Executive (Markets) Paul Lee said his party wanted to empower manufacturing companies with relevant technology and knowledge about AI integration.

So, they can balance environmental management, economic continuity and social responsibility, which in turn will strengthen their resilience and competitive advantages in the global market that are increasingly aware of the environment and a lot of demand.

"ITAP remains a leading platform for industry players to gather, explore opportunities, engage in discourse that impacts and collaborates on new domains and developing technologies such as AI and quantum computing to open up new opportunities," he said in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 16.

ITAP 2023 was successfully attended by 308 participants with a total of around 16,000 visitors from 70 countries and regions and more than 35 percent of participants were C-level executives and important decision-making.

Therefore, ITAP 2024 targets to expand the impact of its event by presenting more than 400 exhibition participants with major industry players Amazon Web Services, Azbil, Delta, Jungheinrich and Redhat.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesian Industrial Digital Transformation Council (WANTRII) Fadli Hamsani said, Indonesia's future in Industry 4.0 depends on the proactive involvement of all parties with global innovation.

"ITAP provides an unmatched platform for Indonesian companies to explore cutting-edge technology and encourage digital transformation, ensuring we remain competitive and at the forefront of industrial progress," he said.

Later, ITAP 2024 will be supported by Singapore's industry associations and government institutions including Singapore's Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Economic Development Board (EDB), Enterprise Singapore (ESG), JTC Corporation (JTC), SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) as well as global industry leaders and main players in the business ecosystem in the region.
