Google Wallet Will Bring New Features To Scan And Save Various Digital Documents
JAKARTA - Google Wallet will soon get a new feature that allows users to scan and store digital copies of text and card documents. This feature was first introduced by Google at this year's I/O event. Although not officially released, some users managed to activate this feature manually to provide a initial display.
Features and Functionality
This new feature will be available in the "Add to wallet" menu on Google Wallet with the option "Everything else". When first used, this feature will request permission to process your data locally without sending data to Google servers.
This feature allows users to scan and store two types of documents: normal and personal. Normal documents such as student cards or business cards do not require biometric authentication when added or accessed. In contrast, personal documents such as tax identity cards, SIMs, or other government identity cards will require biometric authentication.
Supported Types Of Documents
This feature will automatically identify, scan, and categorize various types of documents, including:
If the document cannot be identified, this feature will automatically classify it into the "Other" category and give you the option to enter information manually. Users can also change the document category if deemed inappropriate and add additional information by selecting the "Add field" option. Each document category supports up to five additional fields.

Limitations and Notes
When changing categories, sometimes the scanned information can be lost and must be re-inputed. However, if you switch back to the previous category, the information will reappear. This is intended to ensure that the feature does not categorize the information incorrectly in scanned documents.
This feature is not yet available in Google Wallet's current stable version (version 24,26,650309275), but is expected to be released in the upcoming update. We will let you know as soon as this feature is widely available.
This new feature of Google Wallet provides a practical solution for users to store various important documents digitally. With the ability to scan and categorize various types of documents, users can manage their information more easily and safely.
