Preventing Perpeloncoan, Disdik Affirms The Introduction Of School Environments In Bandung Does Not Involve Alumni
JAKARTA - The Bandung City Education Office (Disdik) guarantees that there will be no coaching practice for new students during the School Environment Recognition Period (MPLS).
The Head of the Bandung City Education and Culture Office, Tantan Surya, stated that his party had issued strict instructions to all schools to supervise and ensure that there were no unclear actions.
"Hopefully there won't be a raid, because we leave it to the teachers. For this MPLS does not involve alumni, it only involves student OSIS. So this is really the responsibility of the teacher," said Tantan in Bandung, Monday.
Tantan emphasized that this MPLS activity has been regulated by Permendikbud Number 18 of 2016 concerning School Environment Recognition for New Students, which regulates the introduction of the school environment to be filled with educational, creative, and fun activities, to create a safe, comfortable, and conducive educational environment for all new students.
So this is just introducing the environment. Because if there is no MPLS, you can imagine where the students will be when studying, where are the toilets? To the mosque where? Where is the teacher room? Like that," he said.

His party has also socialized the MPLS program according to the Permendikbud to all school principals, so that new students can recognize their potential, adapt to the school environment, and develop positive interactions between students.
The main thing is to make school the second home, because in old school students can reach up to four to five hours at the longest. Therefore, at school it is the responsibility of the teacher's father for character coaching," said Tantan.
Furthermore, he also invited the public, especially parents, to actively participate in supervising the implementation of MPLS activities.
Tantan said that if parents found indications of a raid at the school, the Bandung City Education Office opened a complaint through the complaint channel.disdik.bandung.go.id.
"And we have also conducted socialization to schools regarding the latest MPLS guidelines. If there is a complaint, please report it," he said.
