Ferari Focuses On Preparing Yourself With Persija So That It Can Fit When Called By The Indonesian National Team

JAKARTA - Muhammad Ferarri chose to focus on preparing himself with Persija Jakarta ahead of the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification.

As is known, Ferarri was previously called by Shin Tae-yong to strengthen the Indonesian National Team for the Second Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification even though he only occupied the bench.

Even so, Ferarri still had a great opportunity to be called again when the Indonesian national team played their next qualifying round match in September 2024. Moreover, a row of tough opponents is waiting for the Garuda Squad.

Currently, the Indonesian national team is in Group C with major Japanese, Australian, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and China-class countries.

Responding to this, Ferarri admitted that he wanted to focus first with the club as a form of preparation if he was summoned to the Indonesian national team. The player is optimistic that he can strengthen the Garuda Squad if he is able to maintain physical fitness at the club.

"Maybe now (it will start) Liga 1 2024/2025. So, I am preparing at the club. Maybe if I am in a fit condition, God willing, I will be summoned (to the Indonesian national team)," said Ferarri during his statement in Senayan, Central Jakarta, quoted on Monday, July 15, 2024.

Regarding the participation of the Indonesian national team in the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification, Ferrari was not afraid.

He reflected on the U-23 Indonesian national team in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup which was able to make a surprise. At that time, Garuda Muda was able to rise to advance to the semifinals even though he had lost to Qatar in the inaugural match.

"Nothing is impossible. Yesterday we were in the AFC (U-23), after losing to Qatar, we also felt down. However, everything is a business, a prayer, we can definitely do it," he said.
