Inaugurated By Vice President, Gibran: If You Look Back Later
Gibran Rakabuming Raka responded to the issue of resigning from the Mayor of Surakarta following him who will be appointed as the elected Vice President.
"Later, yes, I'll see," he said after attending the 78th Birthday Ceremony of Sukoharjo Regency, in Sukoharjo, Central Java, quoted by ANTARA Monday, July 15.
When asked about the consideration of resigning from the position, Gibran also did not want to answer in detail.
"Later, yes, about that," he said.
Related to this, the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Surakarta City, Budi Murtono, admitted that he did not know about Gibran's plan to resign.
"I don't know when he resigned or how he didn't know. Only yesterday basically we were asked to consult the mechanism for his resignation to the Ministry of Home Affairs," he said.
Regarding the rules for resignation, he said, he had to send a letter to the DPRD. Furthermore, there is a permit process from the Governor of Central Java and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
"Later, when it comes down, the deputy mayor will be appointed as the acting mayor," he said.

He said that the process of resignation starting from submitting a letter, in accordance with the standard operating procedures from the Ministry of Home Affairs, it took 20 days.
"So far, it has not been officially submitted a letter. There is no rule to resign when, to serve until the day H is sworn in. But after being appointed as vice president, the position as regional head is placed," he said.
