Airlangga: The Rules In The New PPKM Micro Allow Face-to-Face Learning For Higher Education
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Committee for Handling COVID-19 and National Economic Recovery (KPC PEN) Airlangga Hartarto said face-to-face teaching and learning activities are allowed in the application of the latest Micro Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) Enforcement.
"There have been several changes related to teaching and learning activities, here they can be implemented face-to-face for universities, academies are opened gradually with pilot projects based on regional regulations and with health protocols," he said in a virtual press conference, Friday, March 19.
Furthermore, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy said face-to-face teaching and learning activities would be accompanied by vaccinations for teachers and lecturers.
Meanwhile, said the Coordinating Minister for Airlangga, for high school education levels equivalent to below, they still implement teaching and learning activities from home or online.
Apart from allowing teaching and learning activities, said Airlangga, cultural arts activities are also permitted in the latest micro PPKM. However, with a maximum capacity of 25 percent.
"Cultural arts activities can be started by starting with a maximum of 25 percent with the prokes and operating hours are regulated," he explained.
Meanwhile, other sector regulations are still the same as before, namely the office sector with a capacity of 50 percent and government agencies in accordance with the SE Menpan RB.
"The essential sector operates 100 percent. Malls are still up to 21,000 with prokes. Dine-in is allowed with a capacity of 50 percent, taking home is still allowed. Construction is 100 percent with prokes," he said.
Then, he said, places of worship were still allowed to have a capacity of 50 percent by implementing health protocols. Likewise, public facilities are permitted with a capacity of 50 percent and are regulated by regional regulations.
For your information, the government decided to extend the PPKM Mikro for the next two weeks from March 23 to April 5 with the addition of five provinces. So that a total of 15 provinces have implemented Micro PPKM.
The 15 provinces are North Sumatra, Banten, West Java, DKI Jakarta, Central Java, East Java, DI Yogyakarta, Bali, East Kalimantan and South Sulawesi along with five additional provinces namely South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, West Nusa Tenggara. , and East Nusa Tenggara.
