Patsus Sanctions For Naughty Traffic Police During Operation Obedient To Jaya 2024
JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto will take firm action against traffic police (polantas) who are involved in illegal levies (extortion) during Operation Patuh Jaya 2024. One of the witnesses is a special placement (path) that is included in the enforcement of the code of ethics.
"Members who are extortion, it is clear that the first action we take is with a code of ethics," Karyoto told reporters, Monday, July 15.
Sanctions for the code of ethics that will be given will certainly be determined based on the code of ethics trial against the police who violate it.
Exemplified by Karyoto, several witnesses who could have been given were patus. This sanction is a tough task for members of the police.
Not only that, but the police who violate can also be subject to demotion sanctions or move the police from the hierarchy occupied to a lower position.
"The code of ethics can be with the special committee being placed in a special place, such as a prisoner and after that the demonstration is no longer allowed to serve in that place," said Karyoto.
The ultimatum was conveyed because in the implementation of Operation Patuh Jaya 2024, Polda Metro Jaya implemented two enforcement patterns, one of which was a residential raid or stationary.
It is undeniable that stationary raids have potential violations in the form of extortion by traffic police officers.
