BRI KUR Distribution Until May 2024 Reaches IDR 76.4 Trillion
JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI noted that the distribution of People's Business Credit (KUR) from January to May 2024 reached Rp. 76.4 trillion to 1.5 million debtors or MSME actors. BRI Micro Business Director Supari said that this value is equivalent to 46.33 percent of BRI's total KUR distribution quota for 2024, which is Rp. 165 trillion. In line with the continued distribution of KUR, BRI is able to maintain the quality of distributed KUR credit,'' said Supari through his written statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Saturday, July 13. Supari said, the quality of KUR distribution is reflected in the maintained BRI KUR's non-performing loan ratio (NPL) in the range of 2 percent. The company, he added, also has a strategy to maintain BRI's KUR NPL. Going forward, BRI hopes that there will be a strengthening policy that can strengthen people's purchasing power and increase household consumption. Because, according to BRI, these two factors are the main drivers of micro, small and medium business loans (MSMEs) growth, which are the main contributors and become the backbone of the Indonesian economy in the midst of challenging macroeconomic conditions. On the other hand, BRI's KUR distribution this year is also driven by the expansion of the reach of new recipients. For this year, we will channel KUR to more than 3.7 million customers from pipelines of 7 million. We have also prepared our old customers of approximately 2 million we will classify, 'added Supari'.
