Erick Thohir Will Cut The Number Of BUMN Clusters To 11

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir plans to cut the number of business clusters run by state-owned companies to 11 clusters. Currently, there are 12 BUMN business clusters.

For your information, Erick has once disclosed the cut in the number of SOEs.

The plan is also contained in the roadmap or roadmap of BUMN 2024 to 2034.

Erick said that this cluster reduction will be carried out in the coming year. This means that reductions will not be carried out in the near future.

"How will the number of SOEs be in the future, but the number of clusters from 12 to 11 (business clusters)," Erick told reporters in Jakarta, quoted Thursday, July 11.

Currently, in terms of business clusters, there are two large types, namely SOEs in the industrial sector and SOEs in the Jasa sector, namely, Mineral and Coal Industry Clusters, Food and Fertilizer Industry Clusters, Plantation and Forestry Industry Clusters, Energy, Oil and Gas Industry Clusters, Health Industry Clusters, Manufacturing Industry Clusters.

Then, Business Clusters for Telecommunication and Media Services, Clusters for Tourism and Support Services, Insurance Service Clusters and Pension Funds, Financial Services Clusters, Infrastructure Services Clusters, Logistics Service Clusters.

On the other hand, Erick also wants to form PT Danareksa (Persero) as a holding.

It is known, Danareksa currently manages several state-owned companies, both for the purpose of restructuring and business development.

Erick said that the formation of the Danareksa Holding still had to wait for the blessing of the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani.

"But Danareksa has also become the holding of several SOEs, which today also has an approval letter for the formation of a holding company, I have sent Danareksa as a holding to Mrs. Sri Mulyani," said Erick.
