Attacks By Drones From Lebanon Sharpen Israel, One Person Seriously Injured

JAKARTA - A drone strike from Lebanon hit Israeli territory. One person was seriously injured.

The Iran-backed Hezbollah group and Israel have been attacking each other for nearly nine months in hostilities that coincided with the Gaza conflict, raising fears of an all-out war.

As reported by Reuters on Thursday, July 11, the Israeli military said that apart from the drones falling, a number of suspicious aerial targets identified from Lebanon to Israeli territory were also intercepted.

Earlier, Israeli tanks and artillery attacked targets of Syrian soldiers who violated a 1974 demilitarized agreement in the Golan Heights region, the Israeli military said.

"IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) considers the Syrian military responsible for all activities that occur in its territory and will not allow any attempt to violate Israel's sovereignty," the military said.

On Tuesday, an Israeli husband and wife were killed by a Hezbollah rocket fired at the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.

The attack, according to the Lebanese armed group, is retaliation for the killing of Israel against one of its members in Syria.
